The Council's voting members include the PTA President and principal
for each school that has paid Council dues and is in good standing
with the NC PTA (updated bylaws, State and National dues paid).
Joining the Council allows your PTA to participate in a wide range
of Council programs including:
- Summer & Mid-year Leadership Training
- Quarterly General Membership Meetings
- Council Newsletter
- Reflections Program
- Annual Awards Program
- Council Web Site
- Ongoing support for the following areas: Exceptional Children,
Cultural Arts, Health and Safety, Human Relations, Legislative,
Education and Environment
- No Cost Financial Reviews
We are committed to uniting home, school, and community groups
to advocate for quality education for all the youth of Mecklenburg
County.

contact us and we will direct you to the appropriate Board member.
Each local unit shall pay annual dues to join the PTA
Council. Dues are based on a local unit’s membership number
(see below).
Dues must be paid to the PTA Council by NOVEMBER 15th. Local
unit PTA presidents will receive a reminder notice prior to the
deadline. You can print the Dues

PTA Council dues are separate from the state and national
dues. Council dues are remitted to the PTA Council Treasurer.
State and local dues are remitted to the NC PTA.
Failure to pay Council dues prohibits local units from serving
as a Council officer, participating in the Reflections & Awards
programs, serving as a committee chair or participation in the
business of the Council.
Mecklenburg PTA Council Dues structure:
For local units with a membership from
1 – 149, the annual dues are $25.00
For local units with a membership from
150 – 499, the annual dues are $50.00
For local units with a membership of
500 or more, the annual dues are $75.00

Inability for units to meet dues payment requirements should not
prevent children or parents from participating in activities of
the Council. Questions about dues and the payment thereof should
